PROGRESS IN FIBER ORIENTATION SIMULATION OF SHORT FIBER COMPOSITES
INJECTION MOLDING

Abstract:

During an injection molding process of composites, fiber orientation is produced by the flow state. In this paper, the developments and achievements in research of fiber orientation are reviewed, including fiber force analysis, fiber motion, fiber orientation, influence of processing parameters on glass fiber orientation, simulation and prediction of fiber orientation, etc. Finally, brief visions were also presented.
